My name is Suhayb and I have been working with Rebel for the past few months my view on food has changed. Before working at Rebel, I worked with food with my culinary club and I would cook food. The food I was cooking you could say that it wasn’t healthy. From my time work at Rebel, I have been more insightful about food ingredients. Also, since I started a Rebel the food I have been...

For me, working in the “Food” business didn’t change “how I saw” food because I think any food is good if you make it right. For example, like making a tofu burger, it sounds nasty but if you bite into it it will taste good with the seasoning you put in the tofu. I will promise you that if you get the ingredients for any healthy dish you make it good. Making a healthy dish...

Rebel Ventures received a $15,000 grant to support hunger relief efforts, courtesy of ACME Markets’ Nourishing Neighbors Community Relief Initiative, and an $18,000 Youth Entrepreneurship Grant from the Whole Kids Foundation. The funding from ACME Markets will pay for staffing, supplies and production costs of healthy-food related media activities and resources. Additionally, it will help Rebel share resources directly with families to support healthy cooking, like the Healthy Deliciousness at Home Fund, which grants cooking supplies...

Hey yall it's Jarrett - Rebel Mentor and butternut squash lover. I've cooked a lot of butternut squash this winter. I love it blended with cooked apples and onions in a soup. I love it pureed and transformed into a bread, and I love butternut simply sliced and roasted crisp, kind-of-like french fries. Now winter's coming to an end, and in the corner of the kitchen there's been a butternut  squash staring at me for...

The holidays are here and Rebel is gifting three healthy and delicious recipes crafted by our High School Student Crew. We know that winter breaks are often filled with delicious food, but this winter we want to help reduce the guilt by replacing some of those delicious favorites with alternative, nutrient-packed versions. For our featured entree, Stuffed Peppers, we replaced ground beef with brown lentils, adding 19 grams of fiber to the dish. We created a...

Rebel Ventures has always been an educational project. Our business began in a classroom at Pepper Middle School, when a group of students was asked 'How can you create a healthier school?'. They identified the lack of healthy snacks as a problem, and set out to solve it by making snacks of their own to distribute to their peers. Solving this problem became an incredible learning opportunity that continues to this day. The young entrepreneurs who...
