Rebel Ventures is a youth-powered nonprofit food business based in West Philadelphia, creating healthy and delicious food for youth in underrepresented communities. Our core objectives are to increase access to nutritious and tasty food for children, and also to engage high school students in meaningful job experiences. High school students run the operations of the organization and make the products for the students we serve.
Students at Rebel Ventures develop and create new products, participate in professional business meetings, sample products at schools and local grocery stores, and gain experience in an area of their interest such as sales, graphic design, and cinematography. The crew works in a commercial kitchen, office spaces, and in schools. With the support of collegiate and adult mentors, the Rebel Crew works together to run the business successfully and make an impact on the community.
