Rebel Ventures has been developing a few new products over the last few months. One such product is the Rebel Cake, what I feel to be our tastiest product yet. Our crew loves the cake and are always excited to make it. Soon, we plan on having these cakes as a healthy and delicious alternative to the current breakfast offered at elementary schools in Philadelphia. On Thursday, we took these cakes to Huey to see how some of the students would like the cake.
Most of the students were very excited to try the new product. They liked the Rebel Bar and knew the Rebel Cake would not disappoint them. Some were a little skeptic. They were unsure if they would like it, but decided to try it out anyway.
After tasting the cake, all of the students were satisfied. A few said it reminded them of cake their moms make. Many of them raved about how moist the cake tasted. When asked if there was anything the school provided for breakfast that was better than the cake, one student replied that the pancakes are really good. Some said the yogurt is a tasty breakfast option. A few said the cake tastes better than any of the breakfast items the school provides.
The taste test made me feel very excited for the future. Seeing a Rebel product receive this much positive feedback from the students at Huey demonstrates how realistic healthy deliciousness is in schools. They are certainly willing to try new foods, so finding food that tastes good and is healthy can help build healthy habits in these students.
