22 May Helping Hands
Yesterday, another group of high school students from High School of the Future Urban Nutrition Initiative came to see us in action and help us make the Rebel Bars. First, Jarrett stepped in and took them on a tour around the kitchen of Center of Culinary Enterprises. The group seemed to like it and was asking a lot of questions! After the tour, the group was ready to put their gloves on! Each of us paired with one of them and showed them one step of the process. As we were making the Rebel Bars, George from High School of the Future made a video to show the crew preparing the Rebel Bars. By the end, Tiffany was dancing around! We’re happy that we had extra helpers because we want to spread our knowledge throughout the community about how to run a nutritious business. Also, it’s great that they came because we want to promote our product to increase sales of Rebel Bars. In conclusion, we’re hoping that more youth entrepreneurs from all over the world come to learn and promote Rebel Bars!

Posted at 20:47h, 10 JuneYou also had a well-known family in Cork who were using Tralee, Killarney, Listowel and Castleisland as areas to expand their drug trade and this was ongoing without any real effort being made by the authorities to deal with it. The effect of that was that a group calling itself Concerned Parents decided to take the law into their own hands and they carried out a number of burnings on known drug dealers. I said that I could not condemn people who took the law into their own hands to defend their own kids because of the lack of, let’s say, security that they were entitled to. I think that was quite understandable. I would not advocate anybody to do it, I said that publicly.

Rebel Ventures is a group of young people in Philadelphia concerned about the health of our community. As an honest youth-run enterprise we are open about where our ingredients come from and how our rebel products are made. We support local farmers and make our products healthy and affordable for our neighbors. We have nothing to hide. We rebel: with pride.
