The Rebel Review

The Rebel Review

At Rebel, we have something called the Rebel Review.
rr2
The Rebel Review is an anonymous survey that asks each crewmember and mentor to rate each other on effort and attitude from 1 to 5. This is completed every 2 weeks.
rr3
A score of 5 means that a crewmember is exhibiting fantastic effort and has a great attitude, while a score of 1 means that a crewmembers attitude and effort could use some improvement.
rr4
Tre’Cia, the crew leader, meets with all crewmembers and mentors individually to discuss their scores. When someone has low score or scores, they have to make a promise that will hopefully aid in the raising of those scores (meaning the increase of their effort and a more positive attitude) by the time of the next Rebel Review.

The Rebel Review is very essential. It is important that Rebel not only measure outputs like how many rebel bars are sold to kids, but also inputs. The hallmark of a truly successful business is being able to measure internal quality, productivity, and efficiency, and make a plan to work towards a solution when those things are not up to par.

We had our first Rebel Review of the summer last week. Some people were not pleased with their scores. Next week I hope to see a change in attitude and effort for those who were unsatisfied with their scores!
It’s not a competition to see who can get the highest scores, it’s not about shaming those with low scores either. It’s about being the best we can be to make Rebel the best it can be!
